With a plethora of comic-based movies coming our way, I'm taking a look at popular and one or two off-the-beaten-path books that could prove worth watching.
Pocket Full Of Stones
Can you believe we are still talking about this galactic phenomenon known as the 'Infinity Gauntlet'? It never ceases to amaze me how these stones keep popping up in comic lure. Now with 'Endgame' coming and going, it leaves me to wonder what's next on the agenda.
Could it be that the 'Infinity Gauntlet' will resurface in a new galactic phase as we've seen with its resurgence in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'? There is definitely a high possibility that a 'Secret Wars' cameo could continue to push this particular title to even more acclaim.
What do I know? I'm looking through the glass like everyone else.

That's Hobie Brown!
It's no secret that the Spider-Verse has officially taken over the silver screen. Talking about comics through the looking glass, it's my opinion that 'Across The Spider-Verse' is one of the best movies in the superhero genre.
Whether watching Spidermania outside of your living room window on Earth-138 or at your local AMC theatre, you'd have to be Cyclops with ultraviolet laser beams shooting out of your eyes in order not to see Spider-Punk stealing scenes in the newest Marvel offering. 'Across the Spider-Verse' has the formula to make every spider title reach new highs.
I couldn't get enough of Hobie's dry humor, and his rebellious jabs at the establishment. I also can't seem to break away from the web (pun intended) when figuring out where Spider-Punk actually started. Here's some trivia. Did you know that Spider-Punk was the first Prowler? Crazy huh? Spider-Punk behind Miles is my favorite character in the new flick, but when it comes to what I'm collecting, my first choice on the list of what to have in my collection has got to start with these few titles.

To Know Her Is To Fear Her...
This is exactly what the cover said back in 1978, and we have been caught in her proverbial web ever since. Jessica Drew started with a father who was an exceptional mad scientist. Johnathan Drew creates a serum that changes Jessica's genetic makeup. The Wundagore girl had an intense urge to kill often, but she learned to curb her innate arachnid cravings. Jessica Drew's superhuman abilities and her time-bending dimensional watch make her a superhero that can't be ignored.
Jessica being linked with a mad scientist father, and a love interest who happened to be a part of Hydra gives her the type of mysterious underpinning that should keep us all mad interested in her next big move. According to comic talk across the internet, a Spider-Woman movie is a lock to be on the big screen.
I would suggest you keep your eyes peeled because Spider-Woman's movie without a doubt will kick some serious butt. Until then I'd be checking out one of these comics to get my fill.

How Uncanny
Where do I begin? The X-MEN, in my humble opinion, could very well be the most collective and eccentric group of superheroes of all time. Don't get me wrong, the Avengers are right there with them, but let's not forget so many mutants have repped the Avengers team over the years. It should be noted that the X-MEN even challenged the assembled Avengers in a limited four-part series back in the nineties. I actually loved that mini-series.
My personal belief is that the Avengers won the battle, but the X-MEN won the war. X-MEN Adventures is in a bit of a reprise as there are talks about making this a new series on Disney under the guise 'X-MEN '97' in the fall.
I loved the series back in '92. I can still remember getting off the school bus just in time for that cool intro. If you weren't a part of the nineties crowd that enjoyed the original series your opportunity is waiting for you in the form of every Uncanny and X-Men comic you've never read. Let's start here.
