If you enjoy being surprised by the post-credit scenes in MCU films, then take this as your warning: potential spoilers for the post-credit scene in The Marvels will be discussed below. For the rest of us who are trying to play the speculation game, and may to buy low and sell high, keep reading!

During the past few days, multiple websites including Game Rant, Bounding Into Comics, and BGR have reported that the second post-credits scene will set up the Young Avengers. Specifically, scooper @CanWeGetSomeToast posted on Twitter that:

"In The Marvels, Nick Fury has a tablet for keeping tabs on all the heroes currently active. At the end of the film, Kamala takes the tablet and tracks down Kate Bishop. To Kate’s surprise, Kamala shows up at the Bishop residence. Kamala tells Kate about the events of The Marvels and how the Young Heroes need to team up. She asks Kate, 'Did you know Scott Lang has a daughter?,' setting up the Young Avengers."

Of course, this could turn out not to be true, but the rumor has gotten a lot of traction. Even if the rumor turns out to be wrong, we're almost certain the Young Avengers will turn up in the MCU in a big way at some point. Feige has been setting up the Young Avengers for years -- in fact, we've seen almost all of the characters appear throughout Phase 5. Wiccan and Speed appeared as young children in WandaVision and the Multiverse of Madness.

Patriot appeared in the Falcon & the Winter Soldier. Kate Bishop appeared in Hawkeye. Kid Loki appeared in the Loki. America Chavez appeared in the Multiverse of Madness. Stature has appeared several times including most recently in Quantumania. Other potential Young Avengers who have appeared already are Ms. Marvel, Skaar (who made his first appearance in cameo at the end of She-Hulk), and Iron Lad will likely appear soon since he's a Kang variant.

It may be the right time to invest in Young Avengers #1; Its value may have hit bottom.

Considering the above, it may be a good time to buy a copy of Young Avengers #1 which contains multiple first appearances including those for Patriot, Iron Lad, and Kate Bishop. If you follow the adage of buying low and selling high, this book's value has been absolutely tanking since it reached an all-time high in May 2021.

Specifically, in May of 2021, a CGC 9.8 copy of this issue sold for a whopping $1,403. As you can see in the screenshot from GoCollect below, since reaching that all-time high, the value of 9.8s have plummeted for two straight years reaching a 52-week low of $265 just a few weeks ago on June 12th. In other words, it's lost 88% of its value in just two years. Ouch. If you bought at $1,400, I feel for you!

No one can predict the future, but I have a hard time seeing this book dropping further. Although there are 2,264 9.8s on the CGC Census, that actually isn't that many for a significant Modern Age key issue. Although I doubt this issue will ever reach its all-time high of $1,400 again, I personally think it is undervalued at $300, considering that it contains multiple first appearances of characters that will likely be featured prominently on the big screen in the near future.

If you've been waiting to pull the trigger on this one, now may be the time especially if CanWeGetSomeToast is right. If they are, this issue will likely jump in value in November.
