This week, Major League Baseball held its annual draft. This allows a good opportunity to look back at the prospects who were drafted a year ago in 2022. A handful of players from last year's draft have already reached the big leagues. Most of the others, though, are still plying their trade in the minors, but will soon be big-league stars. Below are the key rookie cards from some of the 2022 draft's best prospects.

Zach Neto 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft Auto

Lightly recruited as a Miami high schooler, Zach Neto played his college baseball at Campbell University in North Carolina. Over time, he proved that he was an excellent prospect and was selected 13th overall in the 2022 draft by the Los Angeles Angels. The shortstop quickly proved that he was too good for minor-league baseball.

In April of this year, the Angels made Neto the first draft pick from last year to make the major leagues. Despite some time on the injured list, the shortstop has more than held his own. His Bowman Chrome draft auto runs for close to $100 in a PSA 9.

Termarr Johnson 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft Refractor

Georgia-based high school prospect Termarr Johnson was considered to be way advanced for his age. But at one point, his 5-8 stature would have prevented him from being a top pick. Thanks to star players like Mookie Betts and Jose Altuve, that has become less of a concern. The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Johnson with the 4th overall selection of the 2022 draft.

Only 19 years old, Johnson is more than holding his own in A ball with a .416 OBP and 11 home runs. The Pirates have been willing to aggressively promote their top prospects and Johnson could move fast. His refractor cards are available online and can vary wildly in price depending on which variant is purchased.

Jacob Misiorowski 2022 Panini Prizm Silver

The smartest baseball teams will leave no stone unturned when trying to discover the next big thing. Crowder College, a small community college in Missouri, is the alma mater of current big-leaguers Sam Hilliard and Aaron Ashby. In 2022, Jacob Misiorowski became the latest draft choice from the institution, going 63rd overall to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Misiorowski has quickly made the teams that passed on him look foolish as he is now one of the top pitching prospects in the game. Savvy collectors should pick up his rookie cards before he hits the bigs. The righty's Panini Prizm rookie can be had for a few bucks.

Druw Jones 2023 Bowman Chrome Prospects

Druw Jones has pretty good bloodlines. His father Andruw was a fantastic player for more than a decade. Like his Dad, Druw Jones has an astounding collection of tools. Betting on those tools, the Arizona Diamondbacks took the center fielder second overall during the 2022 draft.

Unlike the other players on this list, Jones hasn't quite gotten off to the start that was expected of him. Still, he is young and massively talented. And the slow start may create a fine opportunity to buy low. Jones' Bowman Chrome Prospects card can be had in a PSA 10 for less than $100.

Jackson Holliday 2022 Bowman Chrome Draft Auto

Druw Jones wasn't the only son of a major leaguer to be a top prospect in the 2022 draft. Jackson Holliday's dad Matt had starred for the Colorado Rockies among other teams. And the Baltimore Orioles snagged the shortstop with the 1st overall selection.

The Orioles are feeling pretty good about the selection. Already in AA, Holliday is considered by many to be the top prospect in the entire sport. His Bowman Chrome Draft rookie is already selling for over $150 in PSA 10 condition.
