The Beyonder and Cad Bane were trending throughout the secondary market this week. That should have you paying attention to their first appearances. Here you go - it's this week's Trending Comics!

Welcome to the Trending Comics, where we take a deeper dive into the Hottest Comics index. The rankings, based on sales volume from eBay over the past 30 days, spotlights the top-100 best-selling single issues. It’s easy to glance at the top 10 and move on. However, it is beneficial to keep your ear to the ground and watch the issues that are climbing the charts.

21. MARVEL SUPER-HEROES SECRET WARS #1 (+32)

The new artwork for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur should have your attention. In the past week, Marvel revealed the character sketches for the main players. These mostly amounted to Lunella Lafayette’s immediate family.

The intriguing detail was for the Beyonder, who will be voiced by none other than Laurence Fishburne. Fans were treated to their first look at Beyonder’s animated form; there are questions about where else he will appear in the MCU.

That is fueling new speculation for Beyonder’s first appearance as a light and a voice in 1985’s Secret Wars #1.

35. DARTH MAUL #2 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Cad Bane has come and gone in the latest episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, but that has not stopped his first appearance from becoming a rankings rocket.

After debuting in Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series, fans have been waiting for his inevitable arrival in the live-action Disney+ realm. His stay was brief as he made a cameo at the end of BOBF’s sixth episode before he met his demise in the season finale.

How that will impact values has yet to be seen. For now, this is one of the hottest comics on the market.

53. GHOST RIDER #28 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The rumors and gossip for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are mounting, and it is driving the speculation for several key issues.

One possibility is that Ghost Rider will appear in MOM, and there are theories that we will see different versions of the character, a la the three Spider-Men from No Way Home.

In any event, if Ghost Rider makes his silver screen return alongside Doctor Strange, that will fuel more rumors that the Midnight Sons are coming to the MCU. They made their debut as the Nine in Ghost Rider #28, and it would seem collectors are already stocking up on that issue.

65. MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #28 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Although readers first saw Moon Knight in Werewolf By Night #32, he would appear in his first solo adventure in Marvel Spotlight #28.

Often used as a testing ground for new characters and stories, Moon Knight would go on to star in several issues of Marvel Spotlight before getting his own self-titled comic.

With prices for WBN #32 through the roof at the moment, it is no wonder more fans are leaning toward MS #28.

75. SPAWN #8 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Alan Moore’s turn at scripting a Spawn story was feeling the love from collectors this week. While seeing the comic legend’s name attached to the credits is always worthy of an issue’s inclusion on the Hottest Comics, there is a first appearance lurking here: Vindicator.

The brother of the iconic Spawn villain Violator, Vindicator has been immortalized in toys and artwork since his inception. There’s always talk of a Spawn movie reboot in the works; we could see the demon brothers in all their glory someday.

It doesn't hurt matters that Todd McFarlane channeled his own Spider-Man #1 cover art here, either.
