An Amazing Spider-Man #26 variant has arrived on the Hottest Comics in style, cracking the top 50 with ease. Meanwhile, an Indiana Jones key stakes its claim among the best sellers.

It is time again to explore the top 100 comics according to eBay sales data. Using the Hottest Comics index, today’s blog is a deeper dive that spotlights five issues making noise on the auction site. Remember that the Hottest Comics index is constantly updating, so what you see here should be taken as a snapshot. Still, it could pay dividends to keep an eye on these particular comics.

24. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #26 BRY’S COMICS EDITION (NEW TO THE LIST)

Gabrielle Dell’Otto has done it again. The modern master of the variant cover, the Italian artist created another stunning piece, this time for ASM #26, an issue that featured the death of Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan. While Dell’Otto’s work is always a favorite among collectors, the added appeal here is the print run.

The exclusive edition was limited to 480 copies, and that has escalated prices. So far, the graded 9.8 is averaging $252 with a high of $430.

43. FURTHER ADVENTURES OF INDIANA JONES #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

You call him Dr. Jones.

While this isn’t Indy’s first comic, it is the first comic with an original adventure starring everyone’s favorite archaeologist. The series itself isn’t particularly beloved among Indiana Jones fans, and it’s often overlooked by collectors. However, the debut issue has been surging thanks to interest in the latest movie.

While Dial of Destiny hasn’t overwhelmed critics and is struggling at the box office, it’s enough to land Further Adventures #1 well inside the top 100 best sellers.

58. BRAVE AND THE BOLD #57 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The past couple of weeks have caused a shakeup in the secondary market. First, it was Wolverine’s costume for Deadpool 3, and that was followed by James Gunn’s casting announcements for Superman: Legacy.

After revealing that Green Lantern (probably Guy Gardner), Hawkgirl, and Mister Terrific would be part of the next Superman installment, Gunn added Metamorpho to the list. That instantly sent buyers to eBay in search of the character’s debut in Brave and the Bold #57.

86. INCREDIBLE HULK #182 (NEW TO THE LIST)

When collectors and investors go on the hunt for Wolverine’s first appearances, they understandably put Hulk #180 and #181 atop the shopping list. The issue that gets left out of the conversation is Hulk #182. Granted Wolverine is only briefly featured in the opening pages, the fact remains that this is his third overall appearance. It’s also much cheaper since he is barely part of the story.

For completionists, Hulk #182 marked the trifecta in Wolverine’s introduction, a story that quickly launched him to stardom. The next time readers spotted Logan was in another holy grail, Giant-Size X-Men #1.

100. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #21 DISNEY100 HULK VARIANT (NEW TO THE LIST)

To celebrate the House of Mouse’s 100th birthday, Disney commissioned Marvel with a string of variant editions. In total, there are 12 different covers in circulation, each with Disney’s iconic characters striking their best classic Marvel superhero poses. The most popular of those tends to be the Avengers #4 homage that adorns Amazing Spider-Man #17.

This week, a new challenger has entered the spectrum, that being the Incredible Hulk #1 tribute with Goofy playing the part of the Green Goliath on the cover of ASM #21.
