Between Ryan Reynolds and James Gunn, the latest superhero movie news continued to dominate the eBay best sellers.

Both Marvel and DC Studios gave buyers reason to dig deep into their pockets for comics. Whether it was Reynolds sharing pics of Hugh Jackman in full Wolverine costume or Gunn announcing new characters appearing in Superman: Legacy, the money was steadily flowing into the secondary market this week. However, it wasn’t enough to unseat Spider-Boy from his perch atop the Hottest Comics.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at this week’s standouts from the 10-day best-sellers index.

21. WOLVERINE #88 DELUXE EDITION (NEW TO THE LIST)

Those Deadpool 3 set photos sent ripples through the Hottest Comics. Besides the X-Men keys mentioned in this week’s Hottest Comics, Wolverine #88 has returned to the eBay best sellers. This issue marked the first meeting between Wolverine and Deadpool, and it instantly shot through the rankings when the movie was announced.

After a short break from the Hottest Comics, the behind-the-scenes pictures of Logan battling Wade have lit a fire under the deluxe edition.

41. GREEN LANTERN #59 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Marvel wasn’t the only studio dropping major news online. Days after the Wolverine photo dump, Gunn announced that four new characters would be appearing in Superman: Legacy: Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, and Green Lantern. A frequent member of Gunn’s casts, Nathan Fillion will play the film’s GL, but which Green Lantern?

Most news outlets believe it will be Guy Gardner, hence the uptick in sales for Green Lantern #59. Fans have been waiting years to see Guy in live action, and that enthusiasm is translating into increasing returns for those who invested early.

25. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #41 (+35)

Ever since Rhino’s tease in the Kraven the Hunter trailer, buyers have been swarming eBay as they hunt for ASM #41. Any of those classic Silver Age Spidey villain firsts are worthy investments and rarely lose money.

That has made ASM #41 a prime collecting target well before now. With the added attention from Kraven and a chance to see a comics-accurate Rhino on the silver screen, it has made his first appearance very much in demand.

26. G.I. JOE, A REAL AMERICAN HERO #1 (+13)

After Transformers: Rise of the Beast’s surprise mid-credits scene, that first issue of G.I. Joe has been a rocket on eBay. Along with the imminent movie crossover, superstar comic writer Robert Kirkman is penning the newest G.I. Joe/Transformers comics and creating an all-new shared universe under the Hasbro banner.

It’s just another reason for collectors to add Real American Hero #1 to their collections.

81. SPIDER-MAN #7 SECOND PRINT (NEW TO THE LIST)

The Spider-Boy craze continues as the collecting world is enamored with Peter Parker’s new sidekick. Actually, it’s more likely they’re enamored with first appearances that could turn a profit. Be that as it may, Spider-Man #7 has made a crater in the secondary market.

Spider-Boy’s first cover appearance on the top-secret variant still ranks first on the Hottest Comics while the standard edition ranked among the best sellers as well. This week, even the second print was getting love from collectors and investors.
