MARVEL RIVALS: HELLFIRE GALA #1, a tie-in comic to the current season of Marvel Rivals, will hit comic stores this August.

Media Release -- This August, Marvel Rivals fans can visit their local comic shop for another all-new comic story set in the exciting world of the hit Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter from Marvel Games and NetEase Games in MARVEL RIVALS: HELLFIRE GALA #1. Following hit one-shots like Marvel Rivals #1 and the upcoming Marvel Rivals: Ignite #1, MARVEL RIVALS: HELLFIRE GALA #1 collects the recent Hellfire Gala story arc from the Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic in print for the first time. Tied directly to the latest season of Marvel Rivals, the story by writer Paul Allor and artists Luca Claretti, Daniel Scalisi and Ig Guara features the dazzling in-game costume designs and stars new playable character Emma Frost as she takes charge alongside her fellow heroes to save mutantkind's biggest night from an Ultron invasion!



INTERDIMENSIONAL PARTY CRASHERS?!

When the Krakoa of the timestream-entangled world of Marvel Rivals throws a Hellfire Gala, the heroes of the Multiverse assemble in the finery to wine and dine the night away. But who invited Ultron? Answer: No one – but he's not observing decorum! The living machine has set his sights on Cerebro, the device holding the archive of all mutant DNA and the key to their resurrection protocol! Can the heroes hold back his waves of drones and save the most precious relic of mutantkind? Can the heroes decide on the best course of action? And will Squirrel Girl, Jeff, Rocket and the Thing make it to the battle or just hang out at their private beach party on the Krakoan shores? All will be revealed within!

In a recent interview with Marvel.com, Allor explained his creative process for telling stories set in the Marvel Rivals universe. "It starts, of course, with the game itself, which is primarily focused on the fightin' but also showcases a rich world with an incredible tapestry of characters, heroes and villains, all at loggerheads," he said. "So we used the story of this new season as a jumping-off point, while also going deeper into the characters, as they face an existential threat, and must make some excruciating choices in deciding how to deal with it."
