James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera launch an exciting new story arc this April in their series SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN with issue #41.
The press release follows:
Media Release -- As the Slaughterverse enters its sixth year and BOOM! Studios celebrates its 20th Anniversary, a brand new story arc of the Eisner-winning team of James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera's Something is Killing the Children begins with SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #41.
The dive into Erica's past continues as we re-enter her younger years being raised and trained in the House of Slaughter. What deadly hunts await her and her mentor, Jessica? And how does Cecilia pose yet another challenge for the young Black Mask?
"I could not be more excited to return to tell the next chapter of Erica's origin story," said Eisner-winning co-creator James Tynion IV. "Earning her teeth in the field, Erica will have to grow up fast to grow up at all — and a big part of that will be learning that adults have their own fatal flaws, including her mentor Jessica. Something is Killing the Children readers know, this is not a story with a happy ending. But it's a story that needs to be told."
"I know where Erica ends up, as much as we all do, and yet I can't wait to tell this story! Get ready for some crying!" said series artist and co-creator Werther Dell'Edera.
SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #41 features main cover art by series co-creator Werther Dell'Edera, and variant covers by acclaimed illustrators Jenny Frison (Hello Darkness), Miguel Mercado (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Anwita Citriya (Spectregraph), and Tula Lotay (Barnstormers).
